August 2, 201114 yr Hello, I was just wondering, is it possible to buy directly from nVidia or AMD/ATI instead of buying a card put together by EVGA, Sapphire, XFX, etc.?Example (Radeon HD 6970, comparison between XFX and AMD/ATI) AMD/ATI:XFX: As you can see, there is a difference. Thanks in advance. :) Andrew W. August 2, 201114 yr HelloThe difference there is XFX have applied a sticker to the plastic shroud, just peel it off. There is no difference in the cards apart from the XFX card may be clocked a bit higher depending on where it sits in their range.
August 2, 201114 yr Author LOLLOL!! So you're saying all XFX did was put the card together, overclock it a TINY bit, and then slap a sticker on? Wow... Thanks for the clarificiation. Andrew W.
