How to Increase Sensitivity in 2002 and 2004??????????

Featured Replies

I just recently got the CH yoke and pedals which work perfect. My problem is that in both sims I have the sensitivity maxed (far right) and the null to 0. I still need more elevator and some aileron sensitivity, for my add-on planes aren't as responsive as the default ones.Any help?? Chris

Have you considered FSUIPC and calibrating your yoke and pedals using that product?David

I have the registered version, but didn't know how to get more sensitivity. The calibration seems perfect without FSUIPC. I just need more sensitivity than FS gives me for add-on planes. I can rotate, but it takes more than it should to get off the ground. I usually pass the Vr by 20 knots before I take flight.Chris

Adjust elevator trim.Allcott

HiAs Alcott mentioned, but try a higher value in the "Elevator trim sensivity" in the (Flight tuning) section in the Aircraft.cfg.RegardsHenrik

If so, then this is a common problem which has something to do, I believe, with changes which MS have made in the .air file.Do you get the same problem with the default FS2004 a/c?David

I also have the CH yoke and pedals and found the performance of both the rudders and the ailerons to be sluggish on the default a/c in FS2002. I simply reduced the null zones for those control surfaces in half (from FS2002's control setting's defaults) and the a/c behaved much better.

I could adjust the elevator setting the air files, just didn't know what values meant what. My problem is in 2002 and 2004 with both add-ons and even default aircraft. I only have one 2004 aircraft add-on (PMDG) that I'm currently using. I find that even the default planes are slow to respond despite my having sensitivity in FS all the way to the right, and the null all the way left. 2002 seems to work fine with default planes, however, the PMDG and 767PIC are sluggish as well.I was just hoping to find a global setting like FS has to increase overall sensitivity in both sims. Something I could put in the 2002.cfg or fs9.cfg. I'll look around at some settings to see if they might help if I change them.Chris
