i have recently overclocked my core 2 duo to 3ghz by increasing the fsb.however i also find my ram is also overclocking. Is this safe or should I decrease the ram frequency from 400 to 333.Will this decrease performance? Is a 20% overclock worth the effort? Please advise. Regards, dimi

A 20% will improve the look and feel of the sim for sure, Dimi. You need to carry out stability tests to ensure that it (including the memory) will be stable at the new speed. Don't roll the memory back just because you think it might be "unsafe". The worst that can happen is a bsod. I assume you have the tools? Prime95, CoreTemp, CPU-Z, IntelBurnTest?
