  1. I was having a bad day, much apologies. Followed your instructions and all is good. Yes, PMDG always has been very responsive. Again, I apologize and thank you.
  2. Me too. I have tried that and still get the message I have to have Prepar3D, Version 3.00.9008 or later to install it. I have unitstalled Base version and reinstalled it completely but am at a rock wall with this now. PMDG used to be quite user-friendly in the past. This is word not allowed! Ken Ehlers
  3. Did Prepar3D update 4.3 this morning. Now PMDG shows no panels and settings no longer load! What happened and what is the fix?
  4. My work around is to add extra payload equal to the excess fuel before flight. At some point (before needing to turn off center fuel pumps) I add the fuel and delete the extra payload. It's not perfect but it works. You will need to ignore the "Insufficient Fuel" warning on the FMC for quite awhile though. This has been an on and off topic for a long time. There has been no interest so far by PMDG to fix it though.
  5. Nope, Sorry Todd tried everything you said. Was good for a few flights, then boom! 14 minute freeze 1 hour and 10 minutes into flight from KSAN to KIAD.
  6. Good news for the New Year! Thank you Robert and team.

    777 update

Enough already! New to PMDG? Patience is required here.
  8. Same exact issue last year with 737NGX. It has something to do with the change in year. Goes away with first update (JAN08) of new year.

    Win 8

I happily fly PMDG 737NGX and 777 on my Win 7. Bought and Installed 737NGX on second computer last year with WIN 8 and never ever got it to run right. Graphics were major issue as were freezes and CTDs. Gave up I am sticking with the Win 7 system. But I knew in advance at least that the risk was mine.
  10. I am one of the lucky ones. Zero problems purchasing, installing or activating. It is very different from 737NGX as advertised. Christmas has come early in my house. I expect months of learning this baby and will enjoy every day.
  11. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!
  12. I have had mine for quite awhile and they did a fantastic job again. Now beyond ready to fly it!
  13. Different company options. There are a few other variations also depending on the equipment.
  14. Do you have fuel? Also, if you have fuel did you try to start the APU before there was fuel? Running the APU dry will often result in a damaged APU. Check for maintaince issues.
  15. Checklists, checklists and checklists. A must!

    Nuts!

Good rants by everyone today. Are we all getting a little "antsy"? YES!! I am ready.
  17. I think you have too much time on your hands. lol.
  18. There has been a lot of press recently from Boeing on 737-900ER Sales. I hope PMDG is getting close to releasing this model because I already have a list of routes to fly with this baby. http://boeingblogs.com/randy/archives/2011/11/the_sweet_spot_1.html
  19. Good luck with this. If you do research you will find this has been a huge problem for many. Had the same issue and tried every suggestion there was. I actually reformated my hard drive at one point and slowly added everything back and after a good week or two "BLAM" does it again. It did not matter if I was overclocked or not, running addons or not , anti-virus, no FSUPIC, registered , not registered, default sound card, Sound Blaster cards, etc, etc. I gave up the hobby (after investing thousands of $) for about 4 months I was so frustrated. Decided to look at everything again and my latest fix was to use NVIDIA control panel to limit my FPS to 30fps and set NGX to unlimited. No issues the past few months but I am not dumb enough to believe this was totally the issue. I am always waiting for it to return on a long flight but knock on wood for now. I am sure it has something to do with FSX and Win7 but have heard rare similar stories from those using Vista. I don't believe anyone really knows why. Sorry for the Rant. But I do feel your pain and wish you luck.
  20. From personal experience I can tell you it affects CG, fuel calculations, V speeds etc. Some are subtle changes but definite issues started appearing. I played around doing it for awhile and have decided to just wait for PMDG to release the ER's.
