FSX won't start and DX error during installation

Featured Replies

Hi, I had issues during the install process a(DX wouldn't install) and after installing my NGX, my fsx won't start (Fatal error) and keeps restarting. Your help is much appreciated. Eduardo Junior

I am having a similar issue. DX wouldn't install and FSX crashes everytime I attempt to load the NGX.

Hello, I had the same problem earlier this morning when installing the PMDG 737NGX, the solution I found was to download the DirectX 9.0 program manually. I downloaded it from there : http://www.softwarepatch.com/windows/directx.html I hope it will work for you as well! Good day! Jean-Frederic Mainville

Guys anyone knows how to fix it?

Hello, I downloaded today at about 0150hrs(GMT). I know I should raise a support ticket but I am not gaining access. My problem is similar but when I get to the install button the following message appears. C/FSX/PMDG/DEM/W060N90.DEM with the following text: doesnt match the file in the Setup.cab.file. The medium from which you are running the setup may be corrupted. Contact your Vendor. followed by ABORT RETRY IGNORE. The file originally downloaded to DOWNLOADS, so I created another folder PMDG737X and placed into DOCUMENTS. Tried installing from there but got the same message. I was using Admin. rights. Any help appreciated. richard welsh.

That did the trick! It works great now. Thanks!!!-ETP

I have a similar problem, and have put in a ticket. I get a fatal error on hitting Fly Now (but didn't have Direct X issues). Whilst waiting for a reply I've been messing about and find that by first loading another plane and flight, then switching to my NGX, I get it working. Works for now, and I've just completed my first takeoff. Wonder if anyone else has the same thing? Paul Scholey
