TO GA problem (or maybe i am doing something wrong)

Featured Replies

hello dear all i purchased the NGX right away this morning, when i got up, went to work, came back home, installed it, and it works perfectly fine...probably one of the best add ons ever released... i am having one single problem for the moment, when i am lining up on the rwy, i advance power levers to around 40 percent N1 , then hit CTRL - W (which i configured as TOGA controls in the FMC), but the PFD just stays on ARM(upper left corner) instead of TOGA. A/T is armed as well, and FMC is fully set up... any idea what i might be doing wrong... thanks Marc Marc Muller

The most important thing to remember about TOGA is that it needs both flight directors ON. Advanced : There is a pop up TOGA mode with both flight directors OFF if IAS greater than 80 knots, below 2000 feet radio altitude and no more than 150 seconds elapsed since take off.
Hope this helps, Chris.

Mark, I suggest you read at least the NGX Introduction. Listed you will find several little caveats like the one you are mentioned above. :)Guess what my question to the Devs were when I got my hands on the first beta? Granted the Introduction was not included at that point... :) Hope it helps,
