Mouse issue

Featured Replies

Hello everyone, well, i just downloaded the NGX and must say best addon i´ve ever seen. But i experience the same mouse issue as with the ifly 737 for FSX. Always when moving the mouse cursor the frames drop heavily. Anyone else with this issue on the NGX? Regards Alexander Schönegger

Yes the same here but I think its some weird FSX Bug when you have highly detailed Virtual Cockpits with clickspots!Don't think anyone can fix this ever really! Rgds, Patrick

The only thing I can think of is to ensure you are either running is fullscreen or have "auto hide the task bar" enabled. When the taskbar is displayed, you can see a significant drop in frames, and it can pop up due to mouse cursor movement.

There used to be a tweak in fsx to be able to refreash the graphics in game play, not sure what it is or where to get it but i'm sure one of the lads in here could shed some light. cheers Ste

In fullscreen i have much less frames so i´ll stay in windowed mode and the "task bar" change brought no change... so you don´t have this issue? Alexander Schönegger

Guys, this is a know FSX issue. Every aircraft does it. It's just more noticeable with heavier add ons. Heck, even FS9 did it for me on my older Core 2 system. Unfortunately the only way around this is to: A- Upgrade HardwareB- Lower FSX settings.

Is there a way that the mouse cursor disappears earlier? Alexander Schönegger

Good morning, everyone.......welll, it has been an "interesting" release day (Aug 4) - yes? Robert, I hope your B- day wasn't spoiled by the DDoS business. I really did not have too much trouble with my purchase. What a great achievement this aircraft is!!!! Amazing clarity of visuals, sounds are just right (IMHO), "the "feel" of the aircraft is wonderful, etc.. Last eve (Midnight) I loaded the plane, sat in the Captain's seat and just played with the lights - WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is so visually appealing!!!! Lighting, for me, and sound are almost more important than anything else. Total Immersion....... Okay - sorry - this is a "mouse" thread - so here is my .02.........to eliminate (or mitigate??) the mouse issue in FSX (yes, it affects many planes, not just this one!!), I do the following: roll the mouse pointer off the "main" screen - the one you are using to show the MCP. For me, this immediately puts my frame rate right back up whrere I want it (22-28 fps) - no waiting for the mouse pointer to "disappear". Works for me - hope it does for you. Thanks again, PMDG for producing such a fine aircraft!!!!!! All best,Ray Landolt (Blackbird)
