Nothing works in 2D panel....Is that right?

Featured Replies

Literally nothing. Even when I select individual panels such as using shift + 4 to bring up the aft electronic panel, no movement of dials at all. Have reinstalled NGX to no avail. I use Windows 7 64 bit. Thanks for any help Rob

Hi RobI don't use 2d panel but have you checked the obvious, like is fsx in pause mode?Have you tried the virtual panel to see if that's working? Also, make sure you load the ngx from free flight & DO NOT open the Cessna or any other plane first. in the introduction manual they advise to do that & not to reload ngx from another plane?By default it should load with everything on.

Just a bit info.... When if full screen, if I change the altitude for example in the 2d panel, nothing happens unless I go into the menu's and then return to the aircraft in which I find the altitude has changed. If that makes sense. The altitude is an example, it could the flaps or anything else. Rob

When I go into the menus and change the display settings, when I return to the aircraft, the items have changed such as the flaps or the altitude, but it won't change at the time. I have a widescreen monitor with resolution set at 1600 x900. I usually use FSX in a window not full screen. Any comments please on the best setup? Thanks Rob

RobJust confirm that you loaded the ngx from free flight & that you did not have another plane loaded first?Have you tried in full window to see if anything changes then?Have you tried the virtual cockpit to see if anything changes in real time as you select it?Is it in pause to task mode in fsx setting?

I am in 2D windowed mode and dials/knobs/park brake/FMC selections etc all working.

The only panel not shown in 2D is the throttles acceding to Ryan so everything ales should work. So, you sorted now?

I just got EZDoK (great software). It has a number of default views. This is the default throttle view in the PMDG737NG AAL-800 2D cockpit.PMDG737NG-firstlook11.jpg

I can confirm that I loaded the NFX directly on starting FSX without using any other aircraft first. NO it is not in 'Pause on task switch'. Thanks Guys for your help. Rob

Having read a thread about Direct X, I selected the direct X preview, restarted FSX and everything seems to work. The NFX manual suggests this is not used. But using it seems to have solved my problems. Not sure how it will affect my FPS yet. Rob
