Nothing is working on my NGX

Featured Replies

P.S.: I copied this from the message column on the submit new ticket area. I can't submit any ticket, every time i click submit, the page is timed out or the connection closed by the server. That's why i post it here instead. Hi, i have downloaded and install the base pack. However, problems were coming in during installation: - When installing DirectX, the DirectX installer failed, with warning: "A cabinet file necessary for the installation cannot be trusted. ...".- FSX was then loaded, and the 737 have been selected, but no warning of gauge and anything else, just load.- When the whole sim loaded, and the plane is on tarmac, no gauge was present on the panel, and the VC has nothing clickable. No registration code or anything else asked, just a plain BMP 2D panel, with black areas, and static VC. I hope you can help me. Thank you. -- Edwards Lie --

HiSounds like an anti virus issue. You need the direct x & runtime files for ngx to work. Have you tried switching it off & installing again?

Mike Summers

Yeah try turning off your Anti virus and reinstall as an administrator... sometimes works Chris

Nope, not changing the condition. Still as it was. Any further ideas?

I have the same issue on Win7 64, still not found a way past it. I have submitted a ticket and will post back anything they can suggest. In the meantime take a look here: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_vista-windows_programs/a-cabinet-file-necessary-for-installation-cannot/8a7e8c84-2776-e011-8dfc-68b599b31bf5 There are a few things you can do that might help. I've tried them all, but nothing helps, hopefully things will be better for you.

Thanks for the help, guys... After doing several troubleshooting, the only way when you get into this problem is doing a full OS reinstall. I know it sounds crazy or you can say "AWW!!! Not Again!!!", but this is the only way to solve this since the OS files regarding to cryptography service is/are completely corrupted or gone. I suspect antivirus or any form of virus cause this, though it's just a hypothesis. Now, i've done the OS reinstall, setting up FSX again, and now it's just swooshing through the FSX's air. Thank you, PMDG! This is really the BEST 737 ever on the market! im%20Not%20Worthy.gif -- Edwards Lie -- PS: Different nickname, same person, because i forget with what ID did i login under nickname bang_amin.
