Featured Replies

hi, i seem to be having issues also with default fsx multiplayer, i connect to a Lan only (direct connect) server with about 10 players and i loose connection randomly. i hope this can be sorted out. on a seperate note: how does this seperate "addon" programme work and still be in free flight lobby, i would love to get my hands on that software for my VA. please !!

The master is here im%20Not%20Worthy.gif One again, thx for all all the knowledge you have been brought to our session and to all the gamespy community !
Excuse me you want us to redesign our entire code featuring a fully modelled jet airliner and all its systems so that it runs on your own MP server with your own "home" software ?
Erm, no, we want you to fix it so it works on ALL FSX Multiplayer servers, including the biggest -- FS-MP, Hippy Happy Germany, Boston Virtual ATC, and iFlyOnline.

if i'm not mistaken, then i would say FSMP have a workable solution?? ;) i hope they will fix that problem very quick and releasing a small "multiplayer-patch" asap :->the HHG community await further developments to start a big "tutorial groupflight" with all the happy owners and early adaptors ;)

Exactly, we had planned to make a NGX Groupflight, obviously this is not possible on a normal Multiplayer Session on a bigger Server, anyways i hope that there gonna be a Solution in the near Future.Chris

Keep in mind, it's not just HHG that will suffer. It's everyone, Boston Virtual ATC, FS-MP, iFlyOnline, etc. That's hundreds of pilots.

I've never heard of them, that's why.

standard port forwarding i use for FSX multiplayer is UDP 6112 to 6122 , is this right?, ive seen on youtube someone saying that it should be udp 8871 for gamespy? or does this matter for this problem with this particular aircraft?

Perhaps but the 8871 is not the planes data port.

Just to keep you informed: We are trying to isolate the UDP packets that cause the flood. Once isolated we will try to decode these frames to take off the event causing the flood. After that we will be able to communicate to PMDG exactly what event cause problem for Gamespy sessions.

Only 6112 port is using for Gamespy sessions. I have never seen UDP frame pass using another port.

In this Case it has no Effect, all Players with this Aircraft have that Multiplayer issue, it is not the Status of the Ports or the Servers in general. Chris

absolutely, It is an event triggered repeatedly by the aircraft and as explained in my first message, probably a piece of XML code(gauge) built into the model .mdl file.
