August 6, 201114 yr I'm currently in the 737-800. According to the FCOM1 manual, the maximum ZFW for the -800 is 136,000 lbs, and the maximum TOW is 155,500 lbs. Yet the Fuel/Passenger section in the FMC is showing a MTOW of 174,700 lbs. Also, when I load the aircraft above the MZFW, the reading doesn't go amber. Should the ZFW figure go amber when over the MZFW (like the GW figure does)? And is the MTW figure for the -800 incorrect (it seems alot close to the -900 figure - 174,200 lbs)? Phil Brown
August 6, 201114 yr The manual is incorrect. The MTOW of the plane is actually in the 174K range. I don't know if it's just a mistype by Boeing (Or the maker of the manuals), or if it's from some older version of the plane, but you can go to Boeing's website and see the higher weight listed.
August 6, 201114 yr True. I found that Boeing sells different versions, one of them has a higher MTOW (174700lbs Max. Taxi Weight, MTOW is 500lbs lower) However the MZFW still doesnt match up....The highest i can find is 138300lbs, but the NGX lets you get up to 139700lbs.
