NGX gets stutters in flight then CTD

Featured Replies

Hi EveryoneI do love the NGX however I am getting a problem that I am not sure what is causing it. I did a flight last night from YSSY to YBBN and again this morning. TO, Climb and cruise all went fine but in the descent all of a sudden the sim gets very stuttery with frames alternating quickly between say 20fps and 2fps making it totally unflyable and then it crashes totally. I only turned frames on to see what was happening and started before I put it on.Is this the same thing that some people are reporting about memory type errors? Is this likely to be some sort of memory error? Many thanks for any help that can be given.CheersBarraPS system has been defragged recently.

Sounds similar to me - only I get it on ILS approach.I have discovered that if I use Frame limiter and set it to say 30 FPS I can actually do an ILS approach and land (Well, at least at KSEA). I don't know if the Frame limiter fixed it or is just co-incidental. Ray

Hi RayI already use the frame rate limiter set to 30. So i am not sure this is a cure for me but thank you for your help anyway. Also I hadnt got onto the localiser yet. I was in the star approaching from the south.Perhaps Ryan or someone from PMDG team could comment when they get a moment.CheersBarra
