Key commands not working with Saitek X52 Pro

Featured Replies

Hello. I've a little problem since the start with this aircraft, well it does not impact so much the plane in it self, but is a little burden. I'm using a Saitek X52 Pro HOTAS as my main contrler as I did for quite sometime now, and there is a problem with the fact that for the NGX it does not recognize command sets in the profile. For example I'm using the CTRL+SHIFT+M command for the Autothrottle disengage switch, as I did for the other PMDG products, so I've set it as well as two other shortcuts I always used in the FMC menu provided for that purpose, only it does not work. I mean when I do it manually on the keyboard it does the right action, but not when I press my X52 button which is correctly programmed with the PMDG presets I've made. I also checked on the MD11 which use the same shortcuts for the same functions, and it still works. So I can't really tell more about what is giving this problem, but it looks like for some reason the NGX does not recognize correctly this shortcut. If there is anything I should look into please let me know, I'm not sure it really needs a support ticket so I posted it here, and hope it can get sorted somehow. Thanks. Aurelien

I think, this is the same problem, as I had with the M-Panel (see my post at http://forum.avsim.n...ost__p__2049703). The only solution I found so far was to map the controller key command to the 737 NGX key command with FSUIPC, even if the key commands are the same. This step was not necessary in all other aircrafts I have, including MD-11. Roland

Well maybe it's a possibility but I don't have a registered FSUIPC, so I can't use that work around. But thanks for the tip nevertheless.

Hi, Have a look at the last posts of the thread from TiRex. I've found a solution for the X52 problem. Regards, Torsten

Hello. Well thank you now it is working. I never had to do it like this. Though it was a bit different I had to choose New command, check the macro checkbox, set my keys and make the duration being 0. Cheers. Aurelien
