  1. I can say that on my side the windows 10 anniversary update did not caused any kind of issues with my system and PMDG product activation.
  2. Usually they respond fast. Just remember they are in the US sotheir working hours might not be yours. Usually I've had answers to my few tickets in less than 24H. Just be patient you'll receive an email once they answer it.
  3. I've had no issue with Windows 10 but also I did not upgrade I only made a clean install. Only the Windows 10 "anniversary update" did make an upgrade but it's more the previous service pack for me than a real system upgrade. Not sure about the VSYNC of NI not working either I'm using it and have no specific issues. At least no stuttering, falling FPS on high quality scenery with big addons like PMDG sure I have, but not really stutterring.
  4. I don't think so. Aerofly is very limited a few hundreds airports three area, it's far from a real simulator platform like FS, P3D and X-Plane. I'm not sure either they have any kind of SDK for third paries.
  5. I'm not sure what you do is wrong, but personnaly after following the two tutorials for the first flight I did on my own, I make sure to accompangy the change. I get the AP back to gyroscope a little before getting to the VOR, and accompagny the turn with the roll control knob to get on the right direction, in the mean time changing frequency/OBS heading and all. Then once I'm not too far from the new direction I want to go, I will switch back the AP to Localizer mode and then it will start tracking the VOR. I've had no issue doing things this way.
  6. As far as I remember there is more to the WX Radar than a simple text file. If I'm correct they worked with the Hifi Sim guys to make the modules that allowed them to access the data which is very different that just reading the weather text files generated by ASN. If it was basic text files then any addons could have done the work to provide their data a long time ago. I believe they were exchanges to set things up with another weather addon at some point but I don't really remember who it was and it's probably burried somewhere in the forum.
  7. I just made a quick run of the sim to check things and it is corrected with the new version released today So I believe this thread can be marked as answered I will do the tutorial flight again this weekend
  8. Yes this product is a test base for doing an aircraft from scratch and going from that X-Plane product to push it to FSX/P3D. Then they need to do the other way. Make a product for FSX/P3D and turn it into an X-Plane product. I think you might want to read this very interesting answer from Robert which is a bit more detailed than my very simple summary http://www.avsim.com/topic/489428-what-have-we-learned/
  9. True One final bit of information, as far as I can tell also it happens only with the first scenario file, the second has absolutely not the issue so I guess there is something either in the situation, or something specific that happens on my system when loading the first situation file.
  10. Ok just fidling a bit more with the autopilot switches I got the elevator at least stopping from it's "motion" by also activating/desactivating the altitude switch I guess there is something that cause that, but at least I can fly the first tutorial now No problem, if you need any more info, or want me to do open a ticket, do let me know I've asked here first because I felt I might have been doing something wron, and would not want to open useless tickets Seeing how complex it is from the other products.
  11. Hello I have tried this, but nothign is wrong as far as calibration. Ok that did change things although I had to do a bit more to get it apparently right. Turning autoflight on and off recentered the yoke, and from what I could see outside it was okay but the indication was still not correct with a left roll indicated. To correct it I had to activate gyro and then then the autoflight only then it got both right. Also it really needs to do those two steps, AP on/off, Gyron On, AP on/off, Gyro Off to get it right. it seems okay but the elevator ap trim is still dflected and I've not found a way to centered it, as a result the aircraft has a huge trim up from this part, to be able to takeoff I need to use the trim control ad to put it around the 5 nose down position. Another thing as I had this surprise not having checked the trim first which was a little nose up the Aircraft rose it's nose just after full power is set, although there I cannot tell if it is right or wrong, but it seems weird that just releasing the brake the aircraft nose wheel would almost instantly leave the ground if mis trimmed or pulling on the yoke (it happens before 40 knots).
  12. Hello, It seems I have an issue, possibly with the situation file though I am not sure of this. I'm trying to do obviously the first tutorial, the issue I face is that right after loading the situation both the aileron and ruder axises are displaced. at first I thought it was a controller issue so I check my axises assignment and also restarted x-plane and checked after removing the gust lock it looks good. As soon as I load the situation file both the aileron and rudder trim are immediately deflected, the control column is deflected to the left, the rudder is not centered either, and I see the elevator trim change gradually. I have no other axises than aileron/rudder/brake left/brake right/throttle axises set inthe joystick and equipements section. I've tried setting the trim to counter that but if I can manage for the aileron, I can't return the rudder to normal. Also both Aileron and Rudder trim indicator are displayed as deflected while their, "static" indicator are set to 0 which looks good. Here are pictures I've taken first show trim indicators and aileron trim wheel, second rudder trim wheel, thrid control column. http://www.atlanteans.net/DC-6_6.png http://www.atlanteans.net/DC-6_7.png http://www.atlanteans.net/DC-6_8.png My config is new, and I did very little with X-plane, the only software installed are: * Real Weather Connector * SkyMax Pro 3.1 * IXEG 737 The hardware I'm using is a saitek X-55 and Saitek Pro Rudder. Running on Windows 10 Pro 64bits Core i7-6700k GeForce 1080 GTX 16 GB DDR4 Gigabyte Z170-HD3P
  13. It might be good but I would lose DTS/Dolby decoding, that's why I'm keeping this card, also the front panel that goes into a bay, is very handy I can plug and manage headset there directly, not fidling behind the case, as well as controlling volume through knobs. All of this is pretty usefull. All of this linked to an as old but still doing as good 5.1 THX Logitech kit. Basically my computer also serves to play movies, or linked to consoles in this case the 5.1 sound comes through my soundcard, the DTS/Dolby can be decoded, and outputed to my 5.1 sound system. Without it, well it would mean no more decoding for the Blu-Ray playing from the computer, and going back to stereao sound for consoles instead of 5.1. For all thes reasons I'm continuing this way. Also the sound card is still supported and has official Windows 10 drivers even though it is pretty old
  14. On the Asus Z170-A there is only one PCI slot right below where the GFX card will be as far as I can tell for the specs, there is not another port. On the gigabyte there are two indeeds though I only need one, but there location seems better as there are PCI-E slots that will be free. I'll be installing my good old Creative X-Fi Plat1num. I wish I could change for a new card on PCI-E slot, unfortunately all their newer models have no Dolby/dts decoding anymore, encoding seems to always be there. I asked them if they had any products that could replace it, but the only suggestion was an external USB audio card, which I'm not really sure is as good. Unfortunately, it is not a low profile card, so it can be used with some cards that could convert PCI to PCI-E.
  15. Ok I'm closing on my final choices. I'll go with the noctua for the cooling it looks very good an easy to install As for the mother board, I'll probably go for a Gigabyte Z170-UDH3P, it is close in price with the Asus Z170-A, the main issue I have with that one, is that I'm not really sure the airflow would be very good with the only PCI slot just below the place where the dual slot graphic card will be, which would make litle space for air to get through the GPU ventirad. On this one the PCI slot ae at the bottom so it will be better I believe. Also my current build is based on a Z77x-UD5H which I've had no issue after four years so I'll be on the same kind of price and durability I believe. As for the case I'll probably go for a Fractal Design R5 which looks pretty good, the form is simple, but I like also that the door could be removed, as on previous tower I had issue with my front bay for my x-fi which prevented closing the door. I've not yet decided on the powersupply, smi modular looks good indeed, so far I'll need for what I plannedwith 4 SATA peripherals, the GPU 8 pins power cable, and the noctua should be supply through the usual motherboard pins. I'll be waiting a bit more for choices other thant the founders edition to be availble, I'd probably go on an EVGA card too based on the 1080.
  16. That's good news, I'm going to make a new build soon, ater four years of loyal services I just had to wait for that new GPU Generation to finally come so I could go and get another build that could last the same amount of time. So windows 10 being supported that will be my choice, as well as probably FSX SE to make it a little easier for installation and all, than finding back the two install discs as well as the expension, activating it and all.
  17. Thanks the date is not really planned yet, I'm in the process of selecting components so it could wait for several GTX 1080 cards to be available to I can make my choice, I'll also keep on my toe a bit for the reviews and benchmarks. Thanks a ;lot, the noctua seems a good point too, I'll look into that has well, though I need to be careful selecting the case as it seems very big, maybe bigger than my current Hyper EVO 212. I probably wont go for the Lian Li, as it seems unavailble at the moment, and also without optical drive that would not be good for me, I'll have an opical drive internal is better for me, but more importanly my X-Fi rack needs a freebay But I don't really look after a great design, or weight or things like this just that it should be functionnal, with ease for setting up things inside, and placing cables. And some degree of noise reduction stuffs.
  18. Yeah well my current computer last me 4 years I want to go for about the same time before changing again I prefer a big change every few years than a little every time something new is here And If I get all that I need for smaller price I'll go with it too I just spared little by little so I could make this
  19. Hi everyone. So it is about time for me to make a new build, I've a good budget and it will be with euros price, so I'm not really looking at prices right now but more at the set of components. So here is the plan of what I think I will get: Processor : Intel Core i7-6700k Cooler : I'm thinking about some easy watercooler self contained system. But nothing is set in stone yet, But I'd like a bit less noise Motherboard : A Z170 based mother board not sure which one yet, but it would be great to have OC possibility in an easy way. I'm not looking at a too high OC, I was pretty happy with my current OC from 3.8 to 4.2 just by changing the turboboost settings in the bios. Also I absolutely need a legacy PCI port (1 is enough) as I've an old but still pretty good Create X-Fi card which decodes Dolby/Dts (which none of hteir newest card have) and that have a nice bay in the front to have easy access for plugging headphones and mic. GPU : Nvidia 1080 GTX Memory, Some good DDR4 for probably 16GB, not sure about going up to 32GB. And at least two SSDs (probably 1 of 256GB for the OS, and a 512GB for the sims FSX, X-Plane, and maybe some big games from time to time but not permanently), and a good old physical drive of 2 or 3TB for all the other stuffs. Not really decided on the rest case, power supply, so could take advice, only things I want to check are : * classical case, no need for tuning/fancy stuff, simple visualy but efficient * Modular powersupply so that it is better for cable management. Some components like the GTX 1080 are obviously overkill for the sims I know it, but I'm also playing quite a bit, and I'm planning on spending enough for a hardware that will keep going on for several years. The budget I've planned is around 2000$ which should be enough I think for this build. My current configuration was built with the following : Core i5-3570k Gigabyte Z77X-UD5H GeForce GTX 680 8GB DDR 3 Ram I keep nothing but my soundcard as it will become a computer for my wife Thanks for your advices, on the parts, I know about what I want but selecting some components is not always the easy part, such as to find what really is different between two equivalent motherboards, ... Cheers !
  20. Hello Jorge, If you still have issue and if as I understood you get dumps in c:\windows\MiniDump when the crash/reboot appear, you should have a go by analyzing the latest dump at http://www.osronline.com/page.cfm?name=Analyze By uploading your dump file it will be processed and analyzed, and you should now what happens with more accurate information which could be of some help. You could do the same on your own computer locally but for that you wold need the windows debugging tools, as well as the symbols for your OS, so the web analyzer is more convenient I believe.
  21. Hello, I do not know which page you are trying to access but here there is absolutely no issue at all for me. Wether it is the site, the shop, the login everything's working perfrecllty fine.
  22. Ahah yeah ORBX is with them, but somehow I think it is a bit different ORBX working on sceneries which is "easier" as I believe both FSX, P3D and probably DTG all share the same original code base, and same "structure". And there is less "bug" and issues with adding scenery or even replacing textures than wiith code heavy addons like PMDG
  23. It is a bit too early although there is the DTG Flight School comming soon it is really made to engage people into learning how to fly and all, the DTG flight Simulator is planned for later this year so we'll probably see what it will be worth around the end of the year if it is released as planned.
  24. I'm not sure either of what it is worth. I've had a look at their website and there is a manual but it seems very limited in the end : http://www.desk-pilot.com/Download/DP_Shared_Cockpit_Crew_Manual.pdf Not too sure it applies to pro version or not, the website does not mention the doc for PRO version. From what I understood it also require to use the FSX Multiplayer. I guess we'll see some review at some point to really know what it is doing or not
  25. ahah that is a good sign Funily enough that it is in the P3D part of the store Really looking forward those two new products
