August 7, 201114 yr Hello, thinking of getting an seperate ethernet card in the hope it would help gamespy disconnecton? Also what the minimum broadband speed for fsx
August 7, 201114 yr Why do you think a separate Ethernet card (Bandwidth 1 GBit/Sec these days, that's 100 MByte/Sec) would help with GameSpy disconnects? Is it timeouts due to lack of Internet bandwidth? Cheers, - jahman.
August 8, 201114 yr Author Well my thinking is if I got a really good card that could compensate for packet loss with maybe a buffer , would it stop being disconnected from gamespy
August 9, 201114 yr The speed of the Ethernet card is so much higher than your internet speed it won't make any difference at all, and even if it did, the packet loss or timeouts might be originating somewhere else along the route anyway. Cheers, - jahman.
