I said before Day 1 that it would be at least 6 months before I even considered MS2024, if even then considering all the problems, I learned from experience with FSX and 2020.

I am guessing that when "X" changed hands MS hired their out of work "fact checkers" and put them to work over at MS. I have had almost every post either shut down or moved over there, to the point I only read and never post now.

Am I the only one who learned from previous releases? Every single release of Flight Sim has been full of bugs since the first one and it takes 6 months to a year to get it cleaned up and usable, hang on to your money and wait it out, MSFS 2020 still works great!

Less than 50 and I bought it new...too many missing features I wanted and too much emphasis on Europe and not enough on North America, bored to death!

I agree with the OP for a slightly different reason.....I will be delaying 2024 for one reason, I don't like being a 'paid' beta tester for the next year or so, we all know whats coming!

Let me be the first to point out that GEX is not designed to replace any LC, mesh, etc, it is ONLY textures. It is also designed to work seamlessly with UTX and ALL other LC and also includes it's own 'tree' fix. Unlike FTX they do not change any FS core values to force others to comply with their install, and they also include a backup and uninstaller PLUS a 30 day money back refund. Another amazing benefit is with GEX I get a performance boost unlike any I have seen before. I run unlimited FPS on a 6 year old machine and I now get 40-60 consistently and smooth as silk sim with zero 'popping'. As far as posting 'locations', thats your complaint? Seriously? Anthony has posted locations on a lot of shots and I am positive if you have a specific shot in mind he is more than happy to provide it, they are not hiding anything, in fact they are extremely proud of their product as they, IMHO, are not only the best, they are also the FIRST! That alone is enough to keep my flying with GEX, the rest is eye candy without attitude. After seeing customers banned from the FTX forums over the years because they are not '######', I stay as far away from FTX as possible, even though I could add some stories here, I wont.

Maybe you are stuck in "pushback" mode, check your keyboard for a dirty/stuck key?

Start with the Learning Center in FSX

Without Acceleration you need both SP 1 and 2, with Acceleration you don't need the SP's as Acceleration has it's own.. Addons should work just fine with both

You can remove those 3 files you listed and replace them with the one you saved, it sounds like that 'treescapes' may be the issue, remove that and see what happens.

First thing to try is to remove (SAVE) the fsx.cfg file and then start FSX and let it build a new one. It will reset all defaults. You need to have 'show file extensions' ON to find it

Sounds to me like you have a setting issue, not an airplane issue

I believe the primary focus is on existing users that have been asking about it...... and also new users who didnt bother to read before purchasing it :rolleyes:

Curt, if you are in the US, you have other options besides the PPL. There is now a 'sport pilots' and "recreational' license that may be something you can do. They are limited in what is allowed but depending on your health they could be possible.

If you installed Accel then you needed to UNinstall SP1 and 2 first, as Accel has its own SP's
