MS fsx showing deluxe verison no accel . version question

Featured Replies

Ok....simple question.... I  re-installed fsx  ( non steam edition ). Seems like i have re-installed a zillion times over the past 8 years but i have a new problem.( or perhaps I  never noticed this before )

I installed FSX  sp1 sp2 and accel

When i go the the menu bar and select ABOUT.. it says that my version is the "deluxe version". even though acceleration indicates it  has installed correctly.

When i right click on the fsx.exe and check properties it iundicates the following version is installed

10.0.61637.0 ( FSX-Xpack ) Modified 9.26.2007

So if Xpack is installed why would the about show "Deluxe" .

( and yes before you ask Acceleration was installed in the correct directory  and i can see the acceleration aircraft with in the program.

Thoughts

If you installed Accel then you needed to UNinstall SP1 and 2 first, as Accel has its own SP's

Yes . I said it incorrectly. I did it as you suggested but even with accel installed it say ... deluxe when i click about. . This is the gold version

I checked the  EULA and  it says accel even though  the about says "deluxe "

I also have the f16 and other accel planes

So i think im running accel i was just looking for the version

Thanks

Peter

Since you show 10.0.61637.0 you are running Acceleration. Don't worry about it.
