I am looking at purchasing a cargo jet.  Anybody have any suggestions?  I am looking for something with good performance and great quality.  I already own PMDG 747,737 and 777.

what's wrong with the 777F that you already have. 

I'd recommend the Flight 1 / Coolsky DC-9, and then the Cargo Expansion for it, that's also available from Flight 1.

You can then fly cargo runs, in the Everts Air Cargo livery, throughout Alaska.

......bit pricey if you don't already own the DC-9 itself, but if you do, the cargo expansion is a good addition.

 

Failing that, the PMDG MD-11 comes included with the MD-11F (cargo) variant, and there are lots of cargo repaints available for it. Highly recommended.

I agree with Craig. The Everts Air Cargo livery is fantastic and a favorite of mine when operating cargo runs in the DC-9.

PMDG MD-11X would be my first choice

The only better choice against the PMDG 777X is the PMDG 747v2, and that is not even in beta yet.

Both PMDG MD-11 and SimCheck A300-B4-200 are excellent (both in simulation quality and performance), and include cargo versions as well.

QW 757 includes all major freighters in their addon liveries, for $25 you cant beat it

I have the PMDG MD-11 and I just can't get passed the very outdated VC Textures. Other than the cockpit being a bit long in the tooth, the aircraft itself is phenomenal, lots of power.
