December 28, 200322 yr Hello All, I have been wondering a lot, how do I get the Pushback turning to work? I looked in MSFS2004's Help Section and just says to Push, Press Shift+P and then 1 or 2. I did this and it didn't work. It would help greatly because when Online ATC Tells me to push tail south, and my tail is facing west I could turn. Any suggestions on how to get this to work??
December 29, 200322 yr Are you using a default panel and aircraft ?If so:Press Shift-P, immediately followed by pressing "1" or "2"(on the QWERTY part of the keyboard, NOT the Numpad !)And don't do anything in between the Shift-P and 1/2, not even change a view.If it's not a default panel or aircraft (but an addon):This addon probably contains a gauge that interferes with this sequence. In all cases: if you want a much more luxurious pushback, and get rid of these problems: download and install my pushback gauge :-)File rcbgh-32.zip in the library.Rob

And the Panel is PSS's A330 Panel...
December 29, 200322 yr Hi, I observed that you should keep the ATC Dialog box open when you press shift P (do not press the tilde key to close the ATC dialog box). If you close the ATC, chances are you will see no effect if you press Shift+P+1 (or 2). The plane just keep going backward in straight line.Hope this help.Regards, japangg
December 29, 200322 yr "And the Panel is PSS's A330 Panel..."Does it work for a default aircraft ??If so, I suggest you post your problem in the PSS forum first, because more people should have that problem then.Maybe there's a simple workaround for it (like redefining the PushBack key (Shift-P) to another key)Rob
December 29, 200322 yr As was hinted at earlier, one solution is to redefine the pushback command. I also use PSS' aircraft and they recommend that you define the puschback command as a single key. Then, when you are ready to push back, just presss the key followed by the number 1 if you want to have the aircraft turn to the left(and face the right) or the number 2 if you want the aircraft to turn to the right(and face left). As far as controlling the push, I read somewhere(AVSIM forums) that turning during push back occurs when the aircraft has moved about 1/2 of its length from the gate/original starting location. You can also stop the push and restart it; I find that I can push back all the way to a taxiway before turning using this method. Have fun!!:)
December 29, 200322 yr its also doesnt work by me, using default gauge, I will try that gauge, thanx for the tip!
