August 9, 201114 yr I think I have found a repeatable problem for me. When on a flight from sunset to night, I always can't see any lights at landing and the circuit breaker panels will become see through. Also it seems that my sim isn't loading the buildings at the arrival airport. I'm thinking something is causing fsx to not load the night textures which is a shame because the lights are so pretty. I hope there's a fix for this or it's just something I don't know about. Thanks. Edit: I noticed this on a flight last night too so it's not the first time it's happened. Ryan Vanderbrook
August 9, 201114 yr I also did a flight recently that started in the day and ended at night. While on approach at night, I decided to take a peak at the winglet out the window off my right (was in the FO seat) and noticed the circuit breaker panel was missing/see through. Also, just like you Ryan, I couldn't see the landing lights as I was over and on the runway during landing. Can't remember if I could see the taxi lights or not during taxi-in. Stephen Faison
August 9, 201114 yr Author Yup, same situation. I know I couldn't see the taxi lights. I think there might be a problem when it officially turns night because then the night textures aren't loading. Ryan Vanderbrook
August 9, 201114 yr me too.........same problem! BOEING 737 NGX PILOT - Silvio Silva - SBCF - Brazil - Callsign: PT-SSS (Triple Sierra)[/url]FlightSimulator is not a game, IT'S A LIFESTYLE!NO MILITARY AIRCRAFTS A VATSIM Member Since 2001-07-12 15:56:04
August 9, 201114 yr If I leave my lights on for too long the appear at different points around the aircraft.
August 9, 201114 yr Author The strangest part for me was it stopped loading autogen buildings at the airport too. It's kinda annoying showing up to an empty tarmac. Possibly a tweak I missed? I heard something about the HIGHMEM = 1 tweak for this but I swear I put that in? Anyone know of any possible solutions? Ryan Vanderbrook
August 9, 201114 yr dblc check HIGHMEMFIX=1 under the [GRAPHICS] section in the fsx.cfg. And it is HIGHMEMFIX, and not HIMEMFIX as it says in the NGX intro. August 9, 201114 yr Author Hmm, maybe that is my problem. I'll check after this flight. Ryan Vanderbrook
August 10, 201114 yr Author I found the tweak (yup, misspelled it like PMDG did), and I updated the CFG file and I'm happy to say I haven't seen this problem since. :) Ryan Vanderbrook
