What I have found is that if I cycle the V/S speed while in a CWS P climb I get the green empty box in the Pitch annunciator box, then I will get the ALT ACQ annunciation and AP will go back into ALT HOLD mode. If I don't do this, CWS P will break the altitude set on the MCP.

I don't know if this is my ticket (no answer at this day) but it seems the problem is partly solved with the PMDG's hotfix. Great and fast job/work PMDG. Thank you. Why is it partly solved ? Because the pitch override works like a charm if I apply POSITIVE pitch (pull the yoke) but DON'T works applying NEGATIVE pitch (push the yoke), in this last case the altitude stays locked.
