Problem with saving panel states

Featured Replies

Hello. Im using an external fps limiter(the one suggested in the introduction manual) so i lauch my game via "fsx.exe.limited.bat". Now the thing is, in order to be able to save panel states in the CDU i need to run the game as an admin, otherwise the save just wont go through. I've tried to lauch the "fsx.exe.limited.bat" file as an admin, but nothing happends. Is there really any way to run this file as admin? If not, is there another way i can save panel states properly? Thanks for your time!

Go to your FSX folder, right click on fsx.exe and select properties. Click the compatibility tab and tick the box labelled Run this program as an administrator at the bottom and click ok. As the fsx.exe is called from the bat file it should then run as admin. Alternatively if you can live without the security of it then you can completely disable UAC, which is what I did as it was just a pain in the hass.

Thanks for your response. I did what you suggested with the fsx.exe file, however now the game won't launch at all when i hit the bat file :/ Btw, what does UAC refer to, and how to i completly disable it?

UAC stands for User Account Control (it dims the desktop and asks if you wat to open a file or make a change etc.) Assuming you are using Windows 7, Click in the start menu and in the Search box type UAC and press enter. This will bring up the User Account Control Settings window. Move the slider all the way to the bottom so it reads Never Notify.

UAC has a conflict with FSX operation, this does not only concern the NGX but FSX as a whole.
