is UDP flooding fix implemented in hotfix?

Featured Replies

Hi, I refer to PMDG's post earlier regarding what's under investigation/confirmed/fixed for next update.
UNDER INVESTIGATION:
- Panel freeze issues
- Out of memory issues/32-bit issues
- Activation window doesn't appear
CONFIRMED:
- Minimums knob shows a high value like 9000 instead of the proper 50 RA / 200 BARO (caused by panel state)
FIXED for next update:
- All known livery issues are now resolved. (900WL going into 900 folder etc) - remove the liveries using the Livery Manager and redownload the ones you were having issues with from the PMDG site.
- Key commands for EFIS map range knob controlling mode knob instead
- aircraft.cfg files are set read only (this shouldn't be - you can set it off in right-click/properties on the file)
- Reinstalls on same PC triggering max activations error (this was a server configuration error, it's now fixed)
- Strobes lights displays as rectangles during the day on the ground...
- Some EFIS panel labels not visible outside of HGS combiner glass.
- HDG SEL following track instead of heading after LNAV use.
- FSX/Gamespy multiplayer server UDP event flooding (we think it's fixed)
- Crash on saved flights in descent or approach phase at 4% loading.
- Wingflex during taxi makes rapid jumps.
- Dome light in the 900WL does not light up entire cockpit
Under "FIXED", you stated that UDP event flooding on FSX/Gamespy multiplayer servers was fixed for next update. My question is: Is that fix implemented in either of the two hotfixes that have been released, or are we still waiting for a fix for this issue?

I have tested the 15AUG11 hotfix and 16AUG11 hotfix but the UDP flooding is not solved. Still an average of 4000 UDP packets/min. And I have recieved a confirmation by Paul Gollnick : The current Hotfix does not address that issue. We are continuing to look into the issue and it should be addressed in the SP1 update So now, just waiting the the holy grail :)

Best Regards,

Ahh....that's a bit disappointing, since Ryan said it should be implemented in the released hotfixes. Was realy looking forward to test Multiplayer with the new fix (2922) tonight. Guess we just have to wait and hope PMDG can provide us with a new hotfix/SP1 that address the problem within reasonable time.

I was told something was implemented already - I'll ask now.
Did you get any answers Ryan Maziarz?

From the test I have done, in HOTFIX 2922, they have fixed SOME of the UDP Flooding, but there are still some items that are still unnecessarily flooding. Its better, but still not fully fixed. The good news is that having fixed some of the flooding issues, PMDG obviously knows now, what to be looking for, and hopefully will correct the remaining UDP Flooding by the next Hotfix. Just don't try going into Shared Cockpit unless you have an Ark. Geoff
