Ok I just got everything up and running a couple weeks ago and it's fantastic, but I'm having a small issue. Every so often, and only for a split second, I'll get a flash of black/white where a texture should be. I've had it happen in the sky or on the ground, almost like a section of the texture gets "lost" for a split second. I have W7 and FSX tweaked per Nick N's guide, used the Bjote tweaking tool (I have back up .cfg's for default, normal tweak, conservative tweak, and default with just Nick N's suggestion from the thread), and have Inspector set per Nick N as well. Regardless if I change the .cfg back to default or pick another one, I still get the same issue. Is there a correlation with the Inspector settings or is there a .cfg line that could help? I didn't find much on it other than it's probably a graphics card thing, so I'm leaning toward inspector settings. It doesn't happen a lot but it's still annoying. FYI - my set up is an i7 2600k @ 4.4 HT on and a GTX 570. Any suggestions are welcome, and thanks in advance.

I've had it happen in both dense and not so dense areas. I don't think, however, I've seen it at altitude. I'll have to retest that when I get home tonight just to make sure. I would try to get a screenshot, but it happens so fast and far between I have no way to predict it. It's about the size of a city block though and always square.

It happens to me, it's like a jolt of lightning. Check it , there are members who knows what that is and why it happens. you should switch of HT on your rig.

Yes HT is not preferred in FSX. You will have to disable it from the CMOS.

I just didn't disable it for the fact that W7 uses it and some of the other games I play, plus I got great performance with it on. Doesn't hurt to turn it off and try though, especially since I mostly play FSX on it and it's easy to turn back on if need be.

better to try it and see what gains & loss you get in FSx. you can always switch it on.

welcome. Are you using Bojote's Bufferpools ? is it enabled - 0 or 1 ?

Ok , if the current one has it then try Userpools = 1 or 0 and check. But first. before switching off HT load a flight and check the performance. Then switch off HT load the same flight and check. (the jolts may not have anything to do with HT )

Good call, I think I'll use the FSXMark11 flight to test everything so it's consistent throughout.

happy fidgeting :) also fidget with the inspector. I am still trying to adjust my rig for performance, trying this and trying that I am getting there :)

At least I knew this game was going to be as much tweaking as it was going to be flying lol.
