'Freemium' 757
I personally love it. I think it's great for freeware and plan on picking up a couple livery packs too. I'm surprised people are getting bent out of shape over this.

Dino T-45C VC question
I can't seem to speed up the pan rate in the instructor cockpit. I've adjusted the rates under what's labeled "instructor cockpit" but to no avail. Is there another setting somewhere in the .cfg that I need to update, or is the view mislabeled in the .cfg? Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Possible artifacts?
mfaulisi replied to mfaulisi's topic in System Hardware: PC | MOBO | RAM | CPU | HDD | SSD | PSU etcWell it seemed to duplicate no matter what setting combination I did. I'm going to retry again because that makes zero sense to me. I would just set the settings back to default, but I'm going to use the restore to default settings in between changes tonight just to be sure. I'm also going to use the default .cfg file to see if maybe something in the Bjote tweak tool file is conflicting with inspector. Would it help if I posted my .cfg file sections under the graphics or display to see if maybe something should be added/deleted/changed when used in conjunction with inspector?

Possible artifacts?
mfaulisi replied to mfaulisi's topic in System Hardware: PC | MOBO | RAM | CPU | HDD | SSD | PSU etcWell when I was running the Inspector settings I was getting artifacts that I don't get with application controlled settings. Will the SQ version in your post possibly change that? I haven't seen that post. I'll can try again tonight.

Possible artifacts?
mfaulisi replied to mfaulisi's topic in System Hardware: PC | MOBO | RAM | CPU | HDD | SSD | PSU etcNot sure, but I really haven't noticed a difference, then again I wasn't really looking for one either. I'm used to console graphics so what you guys might think is bad is extraordinary to me haha. I'll post up some screen shots of before vs after, maybe that'll help see any difference.

Possible artifacts?
mfaulisi replied to mfaulisi's topic in System Hardware: PC | MOBO | RAM | CPU | HDD | SSD | PSU etcWell I found out it was the Inspector settings as recommended in Nicks guide. I set everything to default (application driven), added anti-aliasing and filtering through FSX and the artifacts disappeared! I get minor V-sync issues now, but I didn't apply the v-sync fix in the .cfg so I'll have to add that now that it's not forced through inspector. On another note, I ran the FSMark11 with my settings increased a little (not per the instructions however, one notch under max with traffic) with and without hyperthreading active. These were the results: HT OFFMin 42 Max 62 Avg 59.687HT ONMin 49 Max 62 Avg 59.833 Pretty similar so I'll keep it enabled. I also noticed while monitoring the FRAPS counter, when I reverted inspector to default my FPS went up even higher, but I didn't notice a loss in quality (in my opinion). HT ON - FSX Graphics controlMin 48 Max 88 Avg 72.79

mfaulisi replied to mfaulisi's topic in System Hardware: PC | MOBO | RAM | CPU | HDD | SSD | PSU etcAt least I knew this game was going to be as much tweaking as it was going to be flying lol.

Possible artifacts?
mfaulisi replied to mfaulisi's topic in System Hardware: PC | MOBO | RAM | CPU | HDD | SSD | PSU etcGood call, I think I'll use the FSXMark11 flight to test everything so it's consistent throughout.

Possible artifacts?
mfaulisi replied to mfaulisi's topic in System Hardware: PC | MOBO | RAM | CPU | HDD | SSD | PSU etcI don't believe it's in the current .cfg I'm running. I'll check the difference between the Normal and Conservative tweaked cfgs I have, I know one has it and the other doesn't. Should I try the one with?

Possible artifacts?
mfaulisi replied to mfaulisi's topic in System Hardware: PC | MOBO | RAM | CPU | HDD | SSD | PSU etcI just didn't disable it for the fact that W7 uses it and some of the other games I play, plus I got great performance with it on. Doesn't hurt to turn it off and try though, especially since I mostly play FSX on it and it's easy to turn back on if need be.

Possible artifacts?
mfaulisi replied to mfaulisi's topic in System Hardware: PC | MOBO | RAM | CPU | HDD | SSD | PSU etcI've read HT off is preferred for FSX, but I haven't tested it without. I'll do that too and see how performance is.

Possible artifacts?
mfaulisi replied to mfaulisi's topic in System Hardware: PC | MOBO | RAM | CPU | HDD | SSD | PSU etcI've had it happen in both dense and not so dense areas. I don't think, however, I've seen it at altitude. I'll have to retest that when I get home tonight just to make sure. I would try to get a screenshot, but it happens so fast and far between I have no way to predict it. It's about the size of a city block though and always square.

Possible artifacts?
Ok I just got everything up and running a couple weeks ago and it's fantastic, but I'm having a small issue. Every so often, and only for a split second, I'll get a flash of black/white where a texture should be. I've had it happen in the sky or on the ground, almost like a section of the texture gets "lost" for a split second. I have W7 and FSX tweaked per Nick N's guide, used the Bjote tweaking tool (I have back up .cfg's for default, normal tweak, conservative tweak, and default with just Nick N's suggestion from the thread), and have Inspector set per Nick N as well. Regardless if I change the .cfg back to default or pick another one, I still get the same issue. Is there a correlation with the Inspector settings or is there a .cfg line that could help? I didn't find much on it other than it's probably a graphics card thing, so I'm leaning toward inspector settings. It doesn't happen a lot but it's still annoying. FYI - my set up is an i7 2600k @ 4.4 HT on and a GTX 570. Any suggestions are welcome, and thanks in advance.
