FSX Navigation Facility Update?

Featured Replies

Greetings, Does anyone know of a method of updating the Nav facilities (VOR, NDB, ILS) to match the most recent Airac data? For those of us that use current navigation data and/or publications it seems rather obsurd to be simming with an internal FSX navigation index from 2005. This has bitten me more than a few times recently when I set up my nav radios for an ILS freq that doesnt correspond to whats in the sim.

The method you're looking for is called Navigraph. Cheers, - jahman.

That is only applicable to a number of specific aircraft. It does not update the underlying FS nav aids.

Thanks for the replies. Julian, the site to which you refer updates the native FSX flight planner / GPS database. Im looking for a method of updating the internal FSX navigation facility index, which I understand is embedded within .bgl files. Over the years, there have been many changes to the worldwide ground based nav system (addition or deletion of facilites, freq changes, etc). It woud be desirable to sync the RW revisions (Navigraph) to the internal FSX index. I am aware of Airport Facilitator X's capability of modifying navaids, but was looking for something that batched the changes for regions of the world.
