I think you mean equipment hatch, I'm sure it's more a maintenance area / E&E bay for flight computer etc.

It is located under the plane after the forward wheel well. Inside of this bay is if I am right basically all (most) of the computers etc. Also the battery(ies) I think. More here:http://www.b737.org.uk/eandebay.htm

There are 2 x equipment compartment's, 1 x in front of the nose wheel well, called the lower nose compartment, Where the weather radar computer is and 1 x aft of the nose wheel well, called the Electronic Equipment Compartment (E&E) where the rest of the computer's are and also the Main and Aux battery.If one of these door's is open the EQUIPMENT DOOR light will illuminate

so how do you close the equipment door, I have tried thru the FMC "door" operations, but no matter what I do, it will not close. Help appreciated . . 'JP
