August 19, 201114 yr In looking around for ways to improve overall performance in the NGX on my medium level system, I decreased Transparency AA from 8x Supersampling to Multisampling using nHancer (haven't dabbled w/ nVidia Inspector yet). This resulted in considerable overall performance in the NGX on my platform, with minimal impact on image quality. I was getting ok performance previously, but have added ~20+% improvement, which is significant for sure, ie improvement in frame rate. The sim was running fairly smoothly before, just at a lower frame rate. August 19, 201114 yr Commercial Member I helped someone the other night who was running AA settings far too high for his old video card, which resulted in bad performance in the NGX. I do specifically state in the Nvidia guide I wrote that the settings I recommend are designed for the more modern cards, so this is a good tip.
