Auto Brake Switch Automatically move to disarm?

Featured Replies

I have noticed that the auto brake switch doesn't automatically switch to disarm, either from the RTO position or from settings of 1 - max. Basically the brakes are disarming, but the switch is not moving itself to disarm, i have to do that manually after the fact. Even when I select gear up or apply manual braking the switch remains in RTO or on the AB setting I selected. Even though the brakes physically disarm, the switch doesn't leave the preassigned position. Is this normal for the 737? Thank your for your replys, Daniel Burke

Yes. The After Landing procedure in the FCOM states "set the auto brake select switch to off".

This is normal, it's not a spring loaded switch, real world must be moved to RTO to OFF manually after takeoff.
