Step Point - UNABLE

Featured Replies

Hi fellas, So I can't seem to be able to get rid of this. I had a programmed STEP to FL370 from FL360 (FL361OPT/379MAX). I saw my S/C on my flightpath displayed on the MAP page. But before I could get to it during cruise, it switched to UNABLE. It doesn't really make any sense because I can manually change the cruise altitude and generate X% savings in fuel. I find that it seems to happen when I cross the waypoint the S/C is programmed on. Cheers.

Kind Regards,

Dan Wela

I am currently having the same problem. It is clear from all of the data that a step climb is in fact possible at the time and significantly more favorable than the current altitude yet the FMC continues to say UNABLE. Drew Anderson
