Is it possible to use Active Sky Evolution by HiFi Technologies to choose what weather to place and use REX to display that weather?

hi, Yes you can use the activesky evolution weather engine and the REX textures. It makes a nice combination.

Just make sure you have the options page open in AS and leave the autosubmit option unticked.That way You can choose the REX textures for clouds\sky and have AS as your actual weather engine.In my experience REX clouds are a little harder on the system than the AS ones. Eytan Ornstein

Hi Nick, Please note that if you purchase ASE from us, and that is what you should purchase from us as it is the most up to date program, that those auto submit options will not be present, replaced by the new Snapshot feature in ASE.
