August 31, 201114 yr First allow me to apologise if this has already been discovered and noted, but in case it hasn't, I feel I would like to draw it to peoples attention. OK, fellas, this is for all the poor souls who may have been like me and spent weeks trying to get this software to function correctly, but with absolutely no joy whatsoever. I decided over the weekend to try for the seventh time to try and get it going, as I have just got my hands on TrackIR5. I decided to start with an absolute clean download and install. Once installed I followed the videos on the 'other' forum to the letter. Yep, I thought this will work, then as before damn, damn, damn I shouted, well I shouted something else really, but the door was closed and there was no one else around! Exactly the same problem as before. I could not believe that it was just down to me and pilot error. There must be something not right. After all, I have been on many forums usually ending up with fellow simmers scratching their heads and probably thinking to themselevs that I must be some kind of nurd. OK, so I sat there trying every single possible combination of clicks and button tweaks, everything with no luck, then suddenly for whatever reason it began to work. What had I done? Well, quite simple really, I had closed the 'Define Keys and Buttons' window. It was now working. Surely this couldn't have been the reason after all these months why I couldn't edit any of the camera views. Well, I tried it again, and yes, if I opened up the main 'studio' window and also the 'Define Keys and Buttons' window, then it simply was not possible for me to move the camera around. Once I realised this, I found the software very easy to use. I am now configuring all the aircraft in my hanger, starting of course, with my pride and joy the PMDG! So, I hope this post maybe gets placed as a sticky perhaps. I will post it over on the Ezdok forum also, as while many have found the installation of Ezdok OK, there are without doubt many, many guys who have had the same problems as myself. If I had a fiver for every time someone agreed with me and was happy to throw the software into the bin, I'd be a rich man. So remember, you need to close the 'Define Keys and Buttons' window before editing the camera views. This might not be necessary for everyone, but it was certainly the case for me. Happy simming!
