Radar Contact Window not hiding

Featured Replies

Hi all, Is there anyway I can assign a shortcut to hide/unhide the radar contact window? The "display window" option under RC's "keyboard" settings does not do anything. Thanks,

Bring up FSUIPC with an flight loaded in FS. In the FS menu bar click Modules then FSUIPC. In the assignments tab I believe you will be presented with a section for additional FS functions. Look for Hide/Unhide adventure display window and assign a none conflicting key combination. Alternately in your FS modules folder make a safe copy of fsuipc.ini outside of FS somewhere. Then in the general section of fsuipc.ini add: AdvDisplayHotKey=88,10 Ctrl-x will now toggle the RC Window off and on. Please not that when RC issues a command that window will automatically open.

Hi Ronzie, thanks for that. There's no way I can have Radar Contact text to display where the FSX default ATC text shows up? (~ key). Would be really nice if it was in that user interface.

I don't think you'd want both up at the same time. They could conflict. That FSUIPC window that RC appears in is a standard FS parented window, semi-transparent and if you want you can have white text in. Recent versions of FSUIPC remember the last window location (by aircraft I think) - check the manual) if docked even on an FS crash. Therefore you can place it where it will not interfere with the FS ATC window.
