September 4, 201114 yr When the autobrake system is actually applying the brakes, does the red/white BRAKE message get displayed by FSX? I'm having trouble getting the autobrake to work (keep running off the end of runways) and I wanted to know if I should see the normal FSX indication that the brakes ae being applied. Thanks, Bill Rowe
September 4, 201114 yr Yes the BRAKE indicator will illuminate as long as you have not removed it from the .cfg file as shown in the intro document. You should still use reverse thrust until 70 knots and make sure your spoilers are armed before landing. Mark. Mark CYYZ
September 4, 201114 yr Do not know if this helps but I have had NGX start giving me unsolicited failures. One of the failures is a brake failure. At the beginning of the flight I reset all of the failures if any are indicated. The failures were causing the parking brake to fail. This may help the running off of the runway issue. September 4, 201114 yr Author Thanks Mark. I haven't been getting the brake indication. I think I've tracked it down to a toe brake calibration issue combined with a corrupted FSUIPC.INI. Deleted the INI and recalibrated the toe brakes (with a deadzone) in the Saitek software. We'll see if the autobrakes work on this morning's flight. Bill
