A clarification regarding Audio device ?

Featured Replies

Hello every body, I hope all is ok with you, I had encountered a little audio problem and didn’t know if I should submit a ticket for or not, Ok since I started flying the incredible NGX and as you must be aware of; sounds were just amazing, every click of a button and every angle gives you different feeling, however, I bought few days back a more advanced headset which is Logitech Clearchat series – USB - to improve the audio quality for my on line flights, the problem is since installing it (plug & play) I lost about 80% of sounds of NGX, I only hear the engine roaring and other aircrafts around but no clicks or trim wheel sounds or warning sounds etc. So is there something I must do that I am missing here? Of course I selected the new audio configurations through sounds menu of FSX. Your help is highly appreciated. Best regards

check if your headset is also enabled as "default output device" in your sound configuration (if you have Win7, its there: Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Sound)

Alaa, before you plugged in the new headset, were you using just desktop speakers ? or standard headphones ? Go to your sound card properties in "Control Panel" and make sure Automatic detect headphones is unticked (if it has this feature, and check you are using "Stereo" and not "Surround". Also why you are there, check no equalizer presets are enabled. Cheers

Hello JulianI have the Creative surround system 5.1 and I used to have a standard headphone, when I got my Logitech Clearchat headset it's USB, and when I looked at the control panel / sound it shows the new USB headphone as speakers and not headphones? So I will try to apply your suggestions tonight and thank you for your help.Best regards
