September 7, 201114 yr Looks like it MAY have been caused by some stored data from the last flight. I still STRONGLY suspect a bug. Any explanation for why my yaw damper sometimes refuses to activate, despite it not being failed and the IRS being aligned, with the hydraulics set? Resetting the panel state is the only thing that will fix that too.
September 9, 201114 yr So can someone please post the solution to reducing the Fuel Temp when its overheated? Seem strange it persists some times but not others. I'm perfectly happy to accept it as a failure but I'd still like to know the solution. Well I decided to actually post a support ticket with PMDG, lets see If I can get the official answer to how to reduce the temp without reloading the panel state, James Laird www.bavirtual.co.uk www.thomsonvirtual.com www.virtualwestjet.org
September 9, 201114 yr I just loaded my last saved flight and again there is a overheat condition in both EMDP's. Fuel temp. is at max, 60* C. I can't recall the fuel temp when i last saved the flight but with 2,200 Kg in each main tank and OAT of 19* C that seems quite high. I can recall thoough that i normally switched off the Elec Hyd pumps. edit: just tanked fresh fuel but temp stays at 60* C. edit2: hahah, how real is this NG or am i addicted? I just found myself clicking with the mouse on the Fuel temp gauge (like you would in real life with your finger), that maybe it got stuck. Gerrit
September 23, 201114 yr Looks like sometimes a flight will load with the fuel temp off the charts, causing this.

I'm perfectly happy to accept it as a failure but I'd still like to know the solution. Well I decided to actually post a support ticket with PMDG, lets see If I can get the official answer to how to reduce the temp without reloading the panel state, Looks like sometimes a flight will load with the fuel temp off the charts, causing this. This is my understanding as well. If you try to load a flight that had low fuel temperature (0*C or less), it will load the flight with the fuel temperature high off the gauge, resulting in overheat. This is a reproducible bug. For me, I just edit the .sav panel state in the PMDG/737NGX folder to make the fuel temperature a positive value, and load the panel state.
September 24, 201114 yr Yes, this can be. Caused if you crash aircraft, or bad reload etc. It will push fuel temp through the roof, causing the fault with the hydraulics. Now as mentioned you can load the cold and dark panel state to fix it.Other way, is go into the panel state file, and you will find an entry for fuel temp, you'll see it's in the millions or hundred thousands rather a figure of around 1620! Edit this back to normal level(copy the level from your cold and dark) save file and you'll be good to go again with no fuel temp issue and thus no hydraulics over heat Regards James Carr
