multi core tweak

Featured Replies

There was a thread recently on the topic but can't find it anymore :( What's the tweak in the fsx.cfg file for enabling multicore use of FSX and it's setting as a function of the numbers of physical cores ? Thanks a lot Karim

[JobScheduler]AffinityMask = 6 (2 core ) so change accordingly or you can tweak through Bojote's.

my system runs at 6 physical cores . I did the tweak via Bojote and I get AffinityMask=255 ! Looks wrong. What should it be ?ThanksKarim

Its not really a tweak that does much except limit FSX to using certain cores. I force mine to use 2,3 and 4 and keep 1 of OS use. 5 and 6 I use of VoxATC and Ezdok. The number is a bitmask so 255 would allow it to use all 8 cores if it had 8 cores.

14 - 15 is for 4 cores. I usually keep fsx on 2 cores and let freetrack run on the third core or 1st core like John here says.
