Recommended Posts

HiWhat do you fsx experts think about this spec before I purchase? I am hoping it will provide graphics on a par or close to this youtube cliphttp://www.youtube.c...0gAeinw&index=2 i5 2500k Either a geforce GTX 560 Ti or sapphire radeon hd 6950 BOARD intel asus p8h67-m pro Not to sure about power supply, help please. 4GB DDR 3 Ram Do I really need Windows 7 64 bit or can I use Windows XP Any comments gladly appreciated. It is really hard to try and source components having no idea how they will perform for this simulator.I have only an asus 20" monitor running at 1400 x 1050 resolution. Thanks Paul

It all seems pretty good. I would go for a GTX 560 Ti, nVidia tend to work much better in FSX. If you are going to buy a H67, then don't get a 2500k, you have no overclocking features. If you still can, go for a P8P67. They just seem to be getting quite rare in Australia:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131705Of course if you are OCing, you will need a good cooler. Probably something like a CoolerMaster Hyper 212+:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103065Of course there are better options but this will do the job very well. As for the PSU I would go for something from Corsair's TX range. Probably a 650W:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168171390204GB will do you pretty well but just make sure it is quick, and has short timings. Probably look for some 1600 CL8. Do you have any idea on what case you will be getting at the moment? Hope this helps.
