November 19, 200223 yr So that's it. Everyone on that plane is guilty. Why? Because they looked the part? Because they were from the same village? Or walking the same street?I answered how I'd transport them. Without the hoods. Tell me, when they are chained to within an inch of their life, why the hood?No one, in all their "hood 'em, gag 'em, they **ss on us, we **ss on them" arguments has ever acknowledged that some were innocent--had done nothing, yet hauled off to Cuba. You know why? Because no one gives a d**n. They're Muslims. Their brothers tried to kill us, and are trying to kill us. That's bunk. It's a racist argument. And really what your post tries to question is the patriotism and empathy of those who say "wait a minute." Sure as h*ll is a country, and a citizenry, I am ashamed of right now.
November 19, 200223 yr Ron, glad you spoke up and offered a reasonable response to go with the other many good responses. Being in the military myself, I certainly have my own views on POW's but usually keep them to myself like you. It is often impossible to debate international reaching subjects like these and it not cause some to get emotional about it. There are way too many perspectives out there.I've been trying to keep a close eye on this thread and will say for the most part, everyone has tried to stay reasonable in their responses. But I do sense it going the wrong direction and want to stop it before it turns into attacking each other.
