January 15, 200422 yr I was practicing for the upcoming BOTA races and bent my props on the Beech Baron 58 by getting a tad too low to a river. I've made a successfully safe landing and would like to simulate having fixed the damage (I always carry spare props). Otherwise I'm going to be stranded in the snows of Alaska tonight. Is there a way to repair the damage - preferably with the sim still running? I *really* don't want to have to start the flight over. Thanks!!Senior Captain, Pier Glass Aviation
January 15, 200422 yr uhm..i think if you just reselect the aircraft the flight'll do fine,if not, you'll have to restart....
January 15, 200422 yr Author If you taxi into one of the refuel boxes it will repair damage. In real life if you had a prop strike, you'd have to replace or rebuild the engine too, so to be realistic you'll have to leave the sim running a couple of days and stuff several thousand dollars into your computer.
January 16, 200422 yr Yeah, yeah. That 'old Blue Baron just keeps on tickin though. Can't believe I actually got her safely back to the ground. Man it's cold out here (actually its -3 ("almost" as bad as AK). You try replacing prop blades in the howling wind at -3!!! If I don't get this plane started soon I'll be a popsicle. ;)Thanks, I'll try reloading the A/c - but there must be a flag set somewhere that tells the sim the plane can't start - but it's probably binary.Senior Captain, Pier Glass Aviation
January 16, 200422 yr Author Have you looked in the failures section to see if the engine has a check by it. If so you could uncheck it and be on your way.
