September 21, 201114 yr I practice this procedure after engine fire extinguish.During re-start engine fire switch illuminated again. Jia-Hsing Fu
September 21, 201114 yr It's not advisable at all because if a fire started, obviously something went very wrong with the engine. A piece of it may have broken or a fuel valve may be leaking. The heat itself may have also caused damages to other pieces and to the structure of the engine. So you should NOT attempt a restart after a fire in any situation because you can (and most probably will) restart the fire, and this time you won't have the fire extinguishers, which may lead to bigger problems. Summarizing: If you had a fire, do NOT, in any case, under any circunstances, even if you lose the other engine, restart the affected engine. Matheus Mafra
