overclocking

Featured Replies

Hi I just installed FSX, SP1 and acceleration pack. It means I don´t need SP2 which is included in the acceleration pack. It is in the tweaking guide that I should not make a lot of changes in the settings before I overclock the system. I did some changes on realism, settings, sound, graphics and so on. Should I reset them to original and first overclock the system? harpsi

No; it won't make a hoot of difference, Harpsi. Just overclock slowly, testing each step, watching the temps. What proc are you using?

Cool! Overclock a lot quicker then!! Temps are aready low, and you can run 4.5 even with the stock cooler. biggrin.png

I also suggest going over to the Hardware forum here and checking out some of the setups other flight simmers have posted over there based on similiar system specs. There's a BIOS post showing various overclocking settings that have worked well for others. Good luck! Best regards,Jim
