October 1, 201114 yr I love the product but anytime I do an approach at night the landing lights illuminate underneath the aircraft but not ahead on the runway during approach. They need to be re-aimed. The taxi and turnoff lights illuminate NOTHING. And tho the landing lights do light the runway ahead once on the ground they only do so in total night but not in dusk or dawn.
October 1, 201114 yr The taxi and turnoff lights illuminate NOTHING. That's not true at all. In real life, you're not going to see the landing lights reflection until within 90-100ft. That's an FSX limitation that they illuminate under the aircraft, as well. ___________________________________________________________________________________ Zachary Waddell -- Caravan Driver -- Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/zwaddell Avsim ToS Avsim Screenshot Rules

I doubt if any of your OTHER aircraft do what you are asking for ???(Unless you have something like Shockwave Lights Installed)
October 1, 201114 yr Author Zack, I think you misunderstood my complaint. Taxi lights light up the taxi way ahead and turn off lights help illuminate the corners in the turns. This is RW. Landing lights are aimed so that they illuminate your spot of intended landing if on the correct approach attitude. And yes it is only 100 or so feet ahead -- that is not the issue. The NGX lights shine down underneath the aircraft and not angled ahead. The second issue I addressed was that no lights illuminate anything when dusk or dawn in NGX. The other commerical products seem to function correctly in this regard. And Geoff, what is "Shockwave". I think I remember installing some light program a few years ago. Maybe it was Shockwave but if so it seems not to be working for me with NGX.

Secondly, it's an FSX limitation. Ryan will come along and say the same, only in a more descriptive way. ___________________________________________________________________________________ Zachary Waddell -- Caravan Driver -- Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/zwaddell Avsim ToS Avsim Screenshot Rules
October 2, 201114 yr And Geoff, what is "Shockwave". I think I remember installing some light program a few years ago. Maybe it was Shockwave but if so it seems not to be working for me with NGX. The Company "Shockwave" is now called A2A, but at the time they brought out their 3D lighting addon (based on the lighting development they did for their B17 ), they were called "Shockwave", hence the Product name "Shockwave Lights" http://www.a2asimula...hockwavelights/ Works with the PMDG 737NGX, if that is the lighting effect you are looking for,There is a good video on this forum that show the 737 with the "Shockwave Light" Try a forum search BTW: a Google search on FSX SHOCKWARE would have answered you question - top search result !!
