October 10, 201114 yr the problem is related to SandForce 2281 controller on Intel chipsets. It appears that intel RST driver might be involved. People ar playing with Trim on, Trim off, MS AHCI vs intel RST vs IDE etc trying to get stability. scott s..I have never heard of this issue with the "SandForce 2281 controller" and I frequent a lot of tech sites (I'll have to Google it now...). I also visit the Crucial website to look for new firmware and issues and I have not seen this discussed on their website. For my SSD, it is mandatory that AHCI be used and trim is turned on (it was all done automatically when I installed the SSD). Yikes! Be careful! October 18, 201114 yr OK, there is now a new firmware 2.15 which apparently is verified by Sandforce to fix at least one scenario they replicated in their lab. Still a little early to determine if this is "the" fix for OCZ SSD owners. scott s..
