October 6, 201114 yr Hello Is it possible to still use the weather gauge in FSX if ASE is located on a networked PC via fswide, thanks Wayne such Asus Hero Z690, Gigabyte Aorus Master 5080, I914900K, Kraken 360 AIO CPU Cooled, 96 GIGS Corsair DDR5, 32 Inch 4K by 3
October 6, 201114 yr Commercial Member Hi Wayne, Yes, although it is SimConnect that is used instead of WideFS for sim communications. The gauge networking is done via shared file access. It requires a bit of configuration of course, which is outlined in the user manual (Networked Configuration chapter). Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
October 6, 201114 yr Author thanks, i have a powerful PC is there any point having another PC just to run ASE and Radar contact, I dont want to go to all that trouble if its not really going to help the performance of FSX, the main benefit would be able to have stuff on the separate third monitor when FSX is in full screen mode but more interested if there will be any performance increase by having ASE on a second PC might only be a couple of percent of one the cores in which case not going to really change anything performance wise, thanks Wayne such Asus Hero Z690, Gigabyte Aorus Master 5080, I914900K, Kraken 360 AIO CPU Cooled, 96 GIGS Corsair DDR5, 32 Inch 4K by 3
October 6, 201114 yr Commercial Member Hi Wayne,I don't think you'll see any performance benefit, indeed the main plus here is having things on another monitor. Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
October 7, 201114 yr Author thanks Damien for clarifying that for me RegardsWayne Wayne such Asus Hero Z690, Gigabyte Aorus Master 5080, I914900K, Kraken 360 AIO CPU Cooled, 96 GIGS Corsair DDR5, 32 Inch 4K by 3
