Applying weather immediatly

Featured Replies

Hello, I wanna know how to apply ASE weather setting to FSX immediatly. Is there any button like "Apply to FSX"? While testing some flights with ASE weather ans clear weather, I realized I can "clear" skies by selecting clear skies in FSX butcouldn't set ASE weather again. After clicking few buttons - REFESH, Apply weather on Wx config tab, ASE crashed. No way to applying ASE weather without restarting ASE?

Hi Peter,If you change the WX Theme and/or Weather Mode (i.e. Custom) then ASE will lose sync of the weather mode. The solution is to put the wx mode back to Custom Defined (in the first Wx Screen) and ASE should "resync". Changing the weather dialog settings in FSX while ASE is running is not recommended for reasons such as this.

Hi Damian, so the solution is leave ASE alone and change weather mode in FSX to "user defined" mode (as ASE did first load) again?

Hi Peter, Yes, actually you don't need to go into the weather dialog at all in FSX, this is only in case you switched things mid-flight and want to "switch it back". Ideally you leave all the handing to ASE and assuming you don't change anything in FSX unexpectedly, there should be no sync issues.
