October 6, 201114 yr Hi folks. Been trying to figure this one out on my own, but now I have to give up andcome here to seek some advice. Problem: Every single flight, and thats honestly true, I have unlimited visuals and clear skies in cruise.Im using REX2`s weather engine, and its absolutely awesome as long as Im under a certain altitude, (about FL300)coming in to land or just remaining in pattern to do some touch and go`s. Now ive been trying to experiment with different settings without success, once im up there the weather isCAVOK, even when real METARS tells me otherwise.,. And its starting to annoy me alot, because its just plain unrealistic to have such perfect weather everytimeur in CRZ.. Anyone got a tip on how to fix this? Got Rex2 and FSUIPC (full). Thanks in advance!! Yngve GiljebrekkeENZV NSB
October 6, 201114 yr Hi,My REX install (wx engine) didn't work until I applied the patch(s).Have you applied the patch appropriate to you REX build version? Goto REX Support for these, but check you get the right one! Also, make sure you're using the REX weather engine icon, and once it's enabled, are you seeing the texts that say REX is updating the weather?Hope this helps, though I'm sure REX forums would help too. Hi. Should have tried that right away:-). Thing is, in FS9 i used Active Sky and had somewhat the same problem, so because of that, I really didnt think it would be a REX thing, but I`ll give it a good try. The texts are there telling me REX is doing its job loading the weather into FSX, so at least its working as its supposed to:-) Thanks for helping out:-)Also have you made sure that you have the "rate in which the weather changes" set to none in FSX? Hm! I`ll check that one right out right away! Thank you:-) Yngve GiljebrekkeENZV NSB
October 7, 201114 yr Author Thanks alot, now im battling thunderstorms at FL350, re-routing, and replanning the fuel usage.. And im loving it!!! Had my first flight today after some change of settings and so on, and now theres no more CAVOK and unlimited visibility everytime i pass FL300. REX2 is superb! Yngve GiljebrekkeENZV NSB
