missing navdata

Featured Replies

Hi Simmers, George Clark on board with a question. I have been simming for several years never had this problem. I need some help. I have FS9 and FSX both were working ok. I updated my navdata to 1110 recently and now I can't see any navdata or sidstars info. The FMC indicates Navdata Installtion Required. I have the FS9 on my C drive in the folder FS Games\Flight Sim 9. I can see this is where Navigraph downloaded the files for Navdata and Sidstars. But for some reason they aren't loading on the PMDG files. All of these worked before I updated my ver. to 1110. Any thoughts on how to fix this problem? I can't fly the PMDG aircraft. I think it's something simple and I am missing it. This is very frustrating for a 74 year old guy. George Clark

In your FS9 folder there is a PMDG folder and then a folder under that called SID-STARS. Aren't there any .txt files in there, one for each airport? It can't hurt to check your Win registry entries with the free registry repair-checker utility from flight 1 on this page:http://www.flight1.com/view.asp?page=libraryfor both FSX and FS9. If on VISTA or Win 7 you probably will have to run the exe utility by right clicking on it and selecting run as admin. You may have to do the same if the Navigraph download is in .exe format. I don't recall.

Ronzie, thanks for your quick reply. I have FS9 in the C:\FS Games\FS9\FMCWP\PMDG\ file. This folder has NAVDATA & SIDSTARS data shown in that file. But when I load the FS9 program and with 737-990 or 747-400 when I go to the FMC page the NAVDATA indicates Installation Required. How do I load this data into these programs or how do these programs read this data from these files? I know these used to work before I tried to updates the NAVDATA info to a new cycle.Help!George If necessary, I could call you on the phone to discuss this better.

I don't think I can help. Be sure your PMDG models are up to date with required service packs. I'd go to the PMDG General and 737 Legacy forum here on AVSIM to search and also check at:http://forum.navigraph.com/forum/default.aspx?g=topics&f=3to see if anyone else had this problem.
