My Traffic vs. Ultimate Traffic

Featured Replies

I own both but have been amazed with Ultimate Traffic. I have flown commercially quite a bit lately-and it is amazing to go to the airport I have flown out of/in to at the time of my real flight-see it arrive/depart and actually go to the same gate-including all the other aircraft that were in reality around it.This kind of stuff just frankly takes my breath away..... :-)How lucky we are!http://mywebpages.comcast.net/geofa/pages/Animation1.gif

WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE-the best Flight Sim!

>Tonight I took off from Baltimore-Washington and didn't see a>single plane on a taxiway. I need to spend some more time>with it to really see how it's working.Do you have the AI Traffic slider turned up in FS2004? Also, did you compile the traffic in the UT utility, and have the airlines you want selected?>Two other things I noticed. Now in the aircraft selection>list (in FS2004) I have "Flight One AI Aircraft" listed.Wierd. I just checked, I definitely don't have that. >Also, while in flight, I've seen planes with the red label>reading "Flight One AI Aircraft" instead of an actual>manufacturer and model. Is that normal?Like I said earlier, the program works well, but the setup UI is kind of confusingWhen you click the "Compile" button in UT, you first get a menu that allows you to select which airlines and GA aircraft you want included. Toward the bottom of that window, click the "Options" button. In the window that opens, you can select the labels you want included. You can choose from:ManufacturerModelTail numberDistance AltitudeAirspeedHeadingCallsign (airline company name)Callsign and flight numberFlight PlanContainer ID (???)Dan

>Manufacturer>ModelReplying to myself... It seems that checking "Manufacturer" gives you the label "Flight One AI Aircraft" and checking "Model" gives you the actual maker and model, e.g. Boeing 737-900Dan

Thanks Dan. I'll make that change.Tonight I set my AI Traffic up to 70% and saw all the traffic I could handle. I took the R22 helicopter and hung around Las Vegas airport just watching the arriving and departing aircraft. It was virtually non-stop. Pretty neat stuff! :)Jim

"...I own both..."Geofa,I have been considering getting My Traffic. I already have UTand love it for Airline flying.Do you use MyTraffic for your GA flying ? Do you swap .bgl between MT and UT depending on the type of flying you do?Any issues / tips using for using both MT and UT?Thanks,Myles
