AFCAD2 Help requested

Featured Replies

Hi,Been "playing" with AFCAD2 but need a spot of help.Is there any way of getting one item to overlay another so the lower one doesnt show through the upper one?.I want a runway to have priority but have getting a taxiway texture showing through which makes the runway look odd. Thanks Ron

try making the taxiway the same texture as the runway... aside from that however, it should give priority to the runway.James

Try searching or posting here:http://www.flightsimmer.com/forums/forumdi...?s=&forumid=109Very helpful folks.I bet the problem is that the junction between the taxiway and the runway is not 90 degrees, OR you don't have a node on the runway centerline that is also part of the taxiway...If it's not one of those two things, I'm out.Best,sg

Hi,The short answer is no. If you look in the AFCAD manual it gives you the layering. The markings are the top layer period. One way to avoid taxiway markings on the runway is add a node to the taxiway just to each side of the runway, and then turn off the markings on the part under the runway. This will affect the "curve" of the taxiway, so you can also do this by overlaying a disconnected taxiway and use that for the markings (turn the markings off on the "real" taxiway).Hope this helps,--Tom GibsonCal Classic Propliner Page: http://www.calclassic.comFreeflight Design Shop: http://www.freeflightdesign.comDrop by! ___x_x_(")_x_x___
